"SNIP.......
Sen. Mark Kelly raised nearly $9 million in the final three months of 2021, a figure that surpasses what he raised in the previous three months and positions the Arizona Democrat to be one of the best funded candidates in the 2022 midterms, CNN CNN reports.
Kelly is seen as one of the most vulnerable Democrats in the United States Senate. Although he defeated former Republican Sen. Martha McSally in 2020 and President Joe Biden became the first Democratic presidential nominee to win Arizona since 1996, Republicans are buoyant that voters have soured on Democratic control and will punish the party at the ballot box in 2022.

Metaphorical
(1,603 posts)I cannot imagine that the fraudit debacle played at all well with AZ voters, and I have to wonder, as Trump's influence continues to wane, just how much the GOP is mistaking noisy voters for numerous ones both in and outside of AZ.
Also, for all that Omicron has not played out well for Biden, I have to wonder if it's also scaring a lot of people who otherwise would continue drinking the koolaid. If, as I suspect, omicron cases peak and fade by spring (and with it a lot of the supply chain problems which are fading out) the biggest arguments against Biden - covid's resurgence, and inflation - may very well be non-issues come November. Yes, in a normal historical period, the party in power in the white house losing congress is a fairly predictable pattern, we are not in normal anymore.
