Yeah, the rest of the Secret Service was to blame too. There is plenty of blame to go around.

But come on, Kennedy was murdered in broad daylight in front of thousands. No one who was supposed to protect him should get a pass. Everyone in the Secret Service did a bad job.

...office building to the Capitol building.

My parents took us down to DC for a few days for sightseeing in 1962. We were just about to get on the subway to the Capitol when they hustled us all off because Robert F. Kennedy needed to get to the Capitol for some reason (he was AG at the time)

Everyone grumbled, but it only delayed us about 10 minutes. Something that still sticks in my mind though.
