My intent was simply to suggest that just maybe we could be more "out in the open" about our politics.
Everyone's vote is appreciated, but do all our family friends, neighbors and co-workers know how we vote?
Do they know we are Democrats and proud of it?
Does everyone we deal with know that---polls be damned!---we support President Biden?
The only person qualified to answer the question posed in my OP is that person we face in the mirror each morning.

I will be executed at least 3 times..

(7,263 posts)Since the Democratic Party has gotten such a large part of our support from minority communities and peoples.
We know how they've been treated for the last 400 years.
You could ask 'If being a minority/woman/transgendered ever becomes a crime...' but I don't think you really have to - you get it.

I do get your point however.
