I had a family member who was an on air personality at a major 24hr news service. This family member once told me that everything you see on the screen is there for a reason. The words spoken are vetted ahead of time, OF COURSE they know what they are doing. If they just stopped putting TFG on air he would wither away. But he is good for ratings and that's all there is to it.
