Rick Santorum's wife: I ask "Holy Spirit to speak through him"
By Brian Montopoli

Karen Santorum, the wife of Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum, told the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) on Tuesday that she prays for "the Holy Spirit to speak through" her husband when he is out on the campaign trail.

"For me so much of it is spiritual," Karen Santorum told CBN News' David Brody. "...When you're aware of our Lord and His presence in your life everyday, when you're moving through the crowds, when you're giving speeches and me as Rick's wife, I'm watching him, and the whole time he's speaking so often, I'm just there praying for him, asking the Holy Spirit to speak through him. And I feel like God's hand of protection is upon us."

Santorum, a Catholic and staunch social conservative who strongly opposes same-sex marriage and abortion rights, does well with strongly religious voters: He won the support of 33 percent of white evangelicals and born again Christians in the Iowa caucuses, allowing him to come within just a few votes of victory. In the South Carolina GOP primary in 2008, 60 percent of voters identified as evangelical.

Santorum is stressing his faith in advance of January 21 South Carolina primary; he and his wife also sat down for an interview with People Magazine for an issue hitting newsstands Friday. The story describes Santorum as "devout" and discusses how the couple "leaned on their faith to weather the death of an infant son in 1996."

even when you know there is no logic to the concept.

Santorum was asked about same sex marriage and he asked the question, What if the person wanted to marry more than one person?

He twisted it around from a simple answer about same sex marriage to polygamy!

Later, yesterday he did the same thing to another question asked of him. I don't know if this guy understands logical thinking or he thinks that by linking a question to a second concept that is unpopular will discredit the original question.

I don't want this guy's finger on "THE BUTTON"!!!

43% of people think Tebow's success is due to divine intervention...including 54% of Republicans

Yep, more people (among those aware of Tebow) believe that God is influencing NFL games than don’t believe. But here are some interesting breakdowns of the survey:

The numbers fluctuate greatly with the age of the respondent. But when it’s broken down between races, 50.5 percent of African Americans said yes to divine intervention, to only 37.1 percent of Caucasians. And a whopping 81.3 percent of Hispanic respondents answered yes, God has a headset.

And among Republicans, 54.2 percent think God helps Tebow win. Among Democrats, it’s 38.2 percent.

Oh, and men are less likely (40.6 to 46.8) than women (46.4 to 37.3) to think that God has a Tebow poster on his wall.

Meanwhile an ESPN poll rated Tebow as America’s favorite athlete: the quickest a pro athlete has ever topped their survey.

God is too busy answering Tebow's prayers, because the only thing that comes out of her husband's mouth is santorum.

Satan has taken control of her husband, and making him say insanely hateful things.

This is a test sent from God, and Karen is failing it quite badly.

It's because she had an abortion; God is punishing her.

Santorum is more like a bag of dog poo set aflame on somebody's porch. I don't think we'll see any of the Holy Trinity using that medium anytime soon...
