Wow. Put Alex Jones under oath and he finds a reason to shut up. https://www.businessinsider.com/alex-jones-pleaded-5th-amendment-100-times-january-6-committee-2022-1
I am not saying that Alex Jones is a false flag but the shoe does fit. I am not saying that Alex Jones is part of a conspiracy, but an entire suit goes with those shoes that fit pretty well. Here is a man so deep up the colon of conspiracy that you can see the pattern of conspiracy behind the patterns of conspiracy he draws. The omission of Russia and Oligarchs from his conspiracy rants has gotten more and more conspicuous as time has gone by. Instead he echos the Oligarchs. https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/janelytvynenko/infowars-is-running-rt-content
Now he has pleaded the fifth enough times to kill someone who was playing the drinking game waiting for him to plead the fifth. I am not saying that pleading the fifth is a confession of guilt, but I know of a person named Alex Jones that would.
This time, when he argues that a mistake in his meds made him cray-cray, I think the counter argument should be that we free Britney and put her father in charge of Alex.

(2,217 posts)Currently Alex Jones is arguing he is a Journalist. https://www.thedailybeast.com/alex-jones-sues-jan-6-committee-vows-to-plead-the-fifth
Previously the arguments were that he was a Performance Artist. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/not-fake-news-infowars-alex-jones-performance-artist-n747491
Another argument is that no reasonable person would believe him. https://www.texasmonthly.com/news-politics/alex-joness-attorneys-defamation-suit-argue-no-reasonable-person-believe-says/
My question is, if a person allows his lawyers to argue that he is a performance artist that no one reasonable would believe, can that person also defend themselves as a Journalist?
So here is where I would love a few interns to do some research. I am pretty sure that when you talk publicly and specifically about something after pleading the 5th, you break your right to remain silent. Please let me know if i am wrong. If I am right, then it is very likely he can be brought back in and questioned on a few subjects, without the protection of the 5th Amendment, after he has gone off on a few of his rants.

(350 posts)What his lawyers said in the court room is not evidence. If there is a recording of Alex saying he did something then that can be presented to the court as evidence.

"I saw it all as LARPing," Jones said of their actions, meaning live-action role-playing. "I saw a lot of it as playing soldier in the backyard."
Oh, brother.
