A Black corrections officer is suing Walmart after he says he was racially profiled at one of its stores in Georgia.
David Conners, a Clayton County corrections officer, was stopped and handcuffed by a Fayetteville police officer while he was shopping for home decor. Employees believed Conners was someone with the last name Wright who had repeatedly stolen electronics from the store, according to ABC News.
"He's just in the store, minding his own business, when he's approached by the police, and everything went downhill from there," Terance Madden, an attorney for Conners, told ABC News.
Conners provided the officers with two pieces of identification, including one that showed he was a local corrections officer, before he was held in another room while officers investigated.

One handbasket of items at the local Giant or Harris Teeter is $80. I dont know why or how its always $80 my mother and coworkers have noticed the same thing. You can rarely get out the door of that damn Giant for under $80.
At the Walmart (30 minutes away, in the opposite direction of my work), I can get a whole cart full of groceries, toiletries, tp, kitty litter, and whatever else I need for under $200. It makes a HUGE difference in my slim budget.

(5,201 posts)Let me give you some advice, I shop at a union grocery store and a lot of people say how do you keep your bill down and the food and supplies up in my house....
I spend about $175.00 a week and get my toiletries and dog food and treats there also. I feed about 4-5 adults.
First, make sure you are signed up for their rewards program and go on the site in your account clip the coupons once a week online, it will save you at least $30 a trip.
Check out the flyer decide what dinner you want each day of the week and try to pick dinners with ingredients that if not all used in one dinner can be used in the next like chopped lettuce in tacos, then used in a salad served with spaghetti along with black olives carrots and bell peppers, then extras used to make a pasta salad for lunch. 1 head of lettuce, 1 can of black olives, 1; red, green and yellow bell peppers all used in three meal preps. The bell peppers are also used in my chili, plus my dog loves them so he gets the top and bottom cuts of each chopped for treats.
I slice and dice fresh vegetables and store them to use that week when needed. I usually only eat organic. I plan a week but I cross out a meal as we eat.
Meal planning, saves so much money that you can spend on quality ingredients to feed yourself and loved ones.
Have a good evening.
