71-year-old DoorDash driver struggled up steps to deliver food. $60K raised for him on gofundme

Ayoung woman in Idaho had raised almost $60,000 for an elderly DoorDash delivery driver after she watched him struggle on her front steps.

Anabelle Grace Stephens, 21, captured the 71-year-old man, Kerry Judd, on her doorbell camera last week.

The video shows him moving slowly up and down her front stoop to deliver the food she ordered.

Touched, Stephens shared the clip on TikTok and launched a GoFundMe for Judd in hopes to help him finally retire — and donations have quickly poured in.

On Tuesday night, the total was $58,945, with more than 2,500 people donating to help Judd.

He walked slowly up and down her front stairs, leaning on the railing for support, while dropping off her food delivery
Commenters were heartbroken by the clip and said the US needs to take better care of its elderly so they don't have to work
Stephens launched a GoFundMe so that Judd can give up one of his two jobs, and has raised thousands of dollars so far
After speaking to DoorDash, she connected with her driver who said he works to 'make ends meet' - despite 'dealing with some health issues'
Judd added that his wife died in 2011 and he has 'two sons under his care' so works two jobs

That the elderly have to work to make ends meet in the wealthiest county in all of human history.

Just disgusting.

Good for the young lady that did what she could to help.

With anything more than their behinds having a magnetic attraction to the couch and a complete lack of shame about making their father work to support them.

And they will blow through that money on "toys" for themselves within one month.

What is a man of retirement age, who is obviously not in the best of shape doing supporting 2 sons who can't be much older than 50?

Unless they are completely disabled, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Right up to the point where we have to actually do something that works. Then, it is all about 'why should I pay for it?'. Besides, that amount might make his life easier for a very short time, but our system is designed so that it has to be constantly fed. If you don't feed the system, you don't get squat. (Hell, even when you do feed the system, you may still get nothing, but again, it is rigged to happen that way.) Please forgive my outburst, but today the 'new' vehicle we spent out last money on to try and get work is now fucking up. We cannot afford to deal with it. We live in Minneapolis, which is a money town. If you don't have any, you ain't shit. So, we are now less than shit. We will probably be on the street soon enough. In Minneapolis. In winter. U.S.A.! U.S.A.! U.S.A.! U.S.A.! U.S.A.!

(The simple fact is that we as a nation could be correcting all of this. The fact that we have not tells me all I need to know about the 'good ole' U.S.A..)

It gets harder and harder to schlep stuff around at our age.

What a kind, thoughtful young woman. Always good to remember if you live long enough, you too will experience the unique struggles of aging.
