(3,503 posts)Because PA is all about building new interstate roads in the rural areas of the state. The SE and SW parts of the state are generally starved of funds at the expense of rural areas where road infrastructure is touted as economic stimulation.

(739 posts)This is a VERY central area. Pittsburgh is a city of neighborhoods, and it is a connecting bridge between major neighborhoods and on a major road in and out of more central areas.
The areas it connects are generally very liberal, but it will inconvenience and scare many a Trumpster. I wonder how many will have the sense to put the blame where it belongs?
And I hope Biden doesn't hold back AT ALL on his visit today in pinpointing where the blame lies. He needs to Channel a little red nastiness, surrounded by deep blue genuine compassion for those the collapse affects.
