At a time where hospitals were so full they were treating people in supply closets (St. Petersburg & Moscow), the government was reporting 10,000 cases per day!
There was video of these events.
Hospitals inundated by 10,000 cases per day? I think not.
I didn't trust their numbers then, and I don't trust them now.
