delta asks what's your #1 travel goal this year. dan price replies

delta: What's your #1 travel goal this year?

dan price: for you to pay more than $0 in federal income taxes while taking a $8.5 billion bailout and cutting staff by 18,000 employees, all of which you did during the pandemic

Delta lost billions during different economic downturns. 9/11 being the worst. So they're able to deduct those losses over the years. As well as depreciate aircraft faster than they used to be able to do. Which was done to encourage investing in new jets & other big ticket items. Delta also has just about the best profit sharing program in the US.

HOWEVER, I don't think its fair to be able to write off losses in the pandemic if we (the govt) gave them money to offset the losses during the pandemic. That money should come with strings attached
