1. There is a wave of book violence around. Do you even know how many kids killed by books last year?

There must be some back-channels who could use some help making sure Mockingbird and 1984 are accessible to, say, Texas kids whose curiosity has not been entirely stifled.

3. I go to my local book store

and am now asking about banned books which I then buy or order.

OMG, I read Stranger in a Strange Land, a friend of mine got me to read it. I honestly laughed while reading it. I can see why every religion would want to ban that book.

Oh, my friend and I used to write Letters to the Editor at our local red neck newspaper. I say used to because the paper has been banning our letters. We are both dropping our paper subscriptions with letters explaining why.

The former editor would call me his commie pinko friend, the new editor is worse.
