Going way back before he made Mango a media star with The Apprentice. Zucker created it for Mango. He also gave him a shit ton of free media during the 2015/2016 time frame.

He was the head of an entertainment division. What would you expect him to do than find shows that would be successful in generating advertising dollars.

Zucker's job was to generate ratings for his network. Trump was a thrilling and exciting subject and his stupid show, The Apprentice, was a hit program.

Please understand, I'm not in anyway supportive of Zucker, Trump, Murdoch or any other RWNJs. But after 45 years in the entertainment/media industry, I know what sells.

5. IIRC "The Apprentice" was no longer a hit in 2015-16.

And I also recall CNN showing empty podiums for long periods of time waiting for trump while their coverage of Hillary was mostly negative if she got any at all.
