He'll get enough support to be able to stay in the race for a little while, and who wouldn't want recognition, and the ability to travel around the country on sort of a free vacation for a few months?

He might be stupid enough to believe he has a chance at winning the nomination, but that's pretty ridiculous to any observer.

Remember the idiots who stormed the Capitol were yelling "Hang Mike Pence." If that doesn't frighten you nothing will. I agree that Pence as a Vice President before Jan. 6 was a turd. But on Jan. 6, given all that happened, he showed he had at least a little character. First time in over four years that we saw it, but we did.

*know* that the VP's role is indisputably defined in this matter, such that it leaves NO ROOM for doing otherwise and abiding by the limits is not "heroism." In a way, too, especially for a characterless type like PENCE, it can be a cynical COVER for cowardice, like, Well can't do whatever because the Constitution says so.

He did just about everything else for Drumpf, probably even more than we know, many of which times when it really *would* have been principled and "heroic" NOT to and without the cover of defined limits.

Who says the traitor mob didn't frighten or infuriate me to fight them back?

No, "we" didn't see him. Despite a timid little word today, he doesn't deeply denounce Drumpf and would go running back if given the chance.

**** Here's a thought: How about his testifying for the Committee in front of the cameras, hmmm?

I've said all I've got to say about this. To be clear: NOTHING more here.

and done w/ the political games and wants to go back into 'making money' by grifting his supporters. It's so easy for him to do so, so he'll continue to claim he's running again and again and again and again and again and again...forever, to keep pumping the well of campaign donations. This is one of the most insidious legal scams there is, no real authority in tracking what happens to campaign funds, and/or how they are spent, and afterwards, they can take the excess and run.

After the RNC censure of Cheney and Kinzinger today and their announcement binding the Party to the notion that the election was, indeed, stolen, how exactly does Gallows Mike figure into the picture?

His political career is toast. He may have saved democracy, but instead of becoming a compelling national figure, he squandered even that - the "'Mother' of All Opportunities" - in the end.

But he's fooling himself, which is not uncommon on either side. You have to have a pretty healthy ego to run for president, but on the republican side, religious insanity is also part of it. Not every GOP candidate believes their own hype when they say some version of God has led them to this, but Pence does because God wants him to save us all from abortion and teh gayz. So not seeing that even outside of Trump's most ardent supporters, even republicans who agreed he did the right thing are still going to harbor animosity toward him.
