Both LW and RW authoritarians are the kind who "can be fooled all the time" -- because they want to be. Heck, because they need to be and insist on it. They are pretty much a permanent low point even though some move around.

The huge difference with Avenotti's brief enthusiastic fandom is that they didn't insist on being fooled, and once others pointed out Avenotti's lacks and faults, interest dissolved instead of hardening into cult loyalty.
