So I can skip the game and watch all the commercials. That is the only time I do that for the whole year.

there ya have the QB from one of the worst teams in the league, (Detroit), to a QB in The Super Bowl. And a kid who won the National Championship, the Heisman trophy AND got picked #1 in the draft all in the same year, after sitting half his first year in the NFL with a horrible knee injury, in THE SUPER BOWL. So yah, I’m watch it……and I really do want the kid from the Bengals. ♥️ ♥️ ♥️

3. Everything will be on YouTube the next day

We don't even have a way to watch the Superbowl since we don't have cable, an antenna, or the streaming services that are showing them.

That's the thing about the streaming age. Unless you're doing an event thing with friends, there's no reason to spend hours on anything anymore. It's like the Oscars. If you're at an Oscars party, sure. If you were just going to watch it from home, eh, the winners and any highlight moments can be zipped through in 15 mins.

My wife's from Wisconsin and grew up a Packer fan, but the last time we tried to watch a Superbowl with the Packers in it, we didn't even last until kick-off because of all the commercials.

Soccer is (or at least was) much derided in this country, but nobody watches the World Cup for the advertisements.
