(6,039 posts)A Democrat winning in this district would be like a Republican winning on the upper West side of Manhattan where I grew up. Or on the north side of Chicago where I currently live.
Let's stop talking about defeating the crazy lady it's not going to happen.

That young lady DESERVES ALL OUR SUPPORT.

(6,039 posts)Amy McGrath raised like $80 million and had nothing to show for it.

(7,263 posts)Do you understand that?
My post is not about giving $$ but showing support.
But if you must know I have and will continue to support Marcus with my $$. My personal decision.
If we don't support underdogs we will never win.
You can do what you please but I am an optimist. And am Bullish about Democratic Candidates chances in 2022.
Hope springs eternal.

If you wanna support underdogs donate those candidates who are in districts that are in the "Likely Republican."
In those districts Republicans are favored by the Democrats at least has an outside chance.

(94,808 posts)Because that's what donating to a candidate like Marcus means. Those dollars could go to someone who's far more competitive.
The hard reality is that if we lose net FIVE seats we lose the House. We have 22 vulnerable Democratic seats, and 11 vulnerable Republican seats (none of which are MTG's). If we lose the House, MTG will be an influential voice in the MAJORITY. How will your virtuous support for her opponent feel then?

(70,274 posts)50 state strategy and all that. every cycle there are weird races where strange things happen, and shoe-ins arent.
the world is run by the people who show up.

(6,039 posts)But where are you invest in the 50 states also matters.
A "strange thing might happen" +14 district but not THIS district.

(82,849 posts)Maybe even some dyed-in-the-wool Republicans have become disgusted with the direction their party has taken, and Rep. Greene isn't representing them with her foolishness.
