Going in tomorrow for a re-excision of a very early stage 0, non-invasive breast cancer. Some cells were right on the margin, so they have to go in and get the rest. Hate like hell to repeat the surgery, but it could have been a lot worse.
The first surgery was on Groundhog Day and the second one is on Valentines Day. Go figure.
😅
Ladies, dont miss your yearly screening. Very important!

(4,104 posts)The clinics are behind on scheduling because so many women blew off mammograms during 2020 and 2021. Take good care of yourself. We need all the DUers and fighters for justice we can get.

(5,164 posts)You are right thanks. There are so many docs etc. I have skipped, ugh. I hate going to them. I was supposed to get a scan of my thyroid on Friday and I was so tired I slept all day lol I missed it.

(4,104 posts)I have a 76 year old friend who has never had a colonoscopy and refuses to get one. Why? Her answer is Im afraid theyll find something.
I thought that was the point.
Many are scared of it. I was scared because I had a terrible endoscopy years ago where I was not properly sedated, and literally had a tube stuck down my throat without my throat being sprayed - I was gagging and vomiting and trying to pull it out. I refused to do that for many years after that.
Next time years later I made sure they were going to knock me out with propofol and that is the only way I will do it. I did the colonoscopy that way and it was a piece of cake except for the awful prep which is horrific for me because Im a type 1D and have ibs.
