Really, this is a big Putin stinker. He'll get mired in an unpopular war while NATO gets stronger and the financial clampdown on Russian world commerce gets dialed in. No gain for Russia long term. Putin has painted himself into a very small square.

Remember...the total economic Russian output is less than the state of California.....
