Did anyone else watch Joe Biden at UW Oshkosh this a.m.?

I know there are some DUer's that went to his rally. I was unable to drive to campus, but I was able to get to a computer and live stream his talk. I know they are probably doing this everywhere, but I witnessed something really cool (if it's old hat to some, I apologize).

Before Joe began to work up steam, he told the crowd that there were shuttle busses outside waiting that would take anyone and everyone over to the downtown convention center after his talk where they had it all set up for voting. They had tables for voter registration, and you could vote right there as well. Afterward they would shuttle you back to where you parked. He urged everyone to plan to head over there after he was finished talking.

I was really impressed!!

I have an idea how you feel since Walker took over our State government. I also have close family in Mississippi (who also are DU readers, but do not comment). It's tough, I know.

they had in place with the shuttles at ready and the early voting polling places on alert. Are they setting that up in VA as well? I sure hope so.

but I'm in a rural area. Virginia only has early voting if you do an absentee ballot with an excuse of some kind.

We've been able to vote in person-early here in WI with no special excuses since, I think, 2010 and I love it!

They also collect emails and I suppose follow up to get out the vote.
The Romney people do not even collect emails.
A couple of right wing college professors were complaining about the Obama collecting name and emails. But were laughed out.
