In my opinion we have to call his bluff. If he lobs a nuke - so be it. If the modern world is destroyed in a nuclear war - so be it.
Maybe it's easier for me to say this since I'm an old geezer and I have had my time in the sun.
We cannot idly sit back and watch a megalomaniac like Putin put us under the boot. Even if the worst comes to pass. What sort of world would it be for our children and their future generations if we allow that to happen?
