Condi Rice turns tables on Fox News host: NATO 'unites' under Biden the way Trump never could

"We have to make sure that [Putin] really understands that the cost would be extraordinary to try to cross an Article 5 line," Rice replied. "An attack upon one is an attack upon all. And so the Baltic states are indeed protected under that guarantee by the United States of America."

.............

"So what we're doing in reinforcing NATO forces in the Baltics and in Poland -- NATO's eastern flank, if you will -- this is the way to make sure that he knows the costs would be very high," the former secretary of state remarked.

Rice suggested that Biden has been able to "unite" NATO to push back against Putin's alleged war crimes to a degree that former presidents could not.

"It is certainly against every principle of international law and international order, and that's why throwing the book at them now in terms of economic sanctions and punishments is also a part of it," she said. "And I think the world is there. Certainly, NATO is there. He's managed to unite NATO in ways I didn't think I would ever see again after the end of the Cold War."

She's right, because Biden did in fact get our reputation back and our allies back. It wasn't just "in ways the former president couldn't", it's that the opposite was the goal of TFG. He worked to destroy those things.

Thing I WANT to hear from my President at the SOTU, is “fury” and “rage” at those supporting Putin murdering innocent Ukraine citizens and threatening Nukes against the world. Hold nothing back, name names and let us see who remains seated stonefaced or shouts “you lie”. Point out Green, Kosar at the KKKlan Jamboree this weekend cheering Russia, Russia, Russia, and trump’s unwavering praise of Putin genius. THAT is the current State of our so called Union.

Putin’s attack on Ukraine has shown the world that he fears democracy—and for a good reason. Feedom-loving people do not want a dictator who takes away civil rights. The Ukrainians are fighting to the death for their democracy. Republicans are undermining ours with laws making it very difficult for certain people to vote and giving themselves the power to decide who wins an election, just as Putin “wins” his elections because the outcome is known before the first vote is cast. That is the system Republicans want here.

The new voter laws Republicans have passed are working here in Texas. Early voting has just ended for the primary election, and Harris County has rejected 30% of mail ballots for “errors.” Harris County is heavily Democratic. The new laws required more information, such as putting ID information on the outside of the envelope to be mailed and thus making it easy for anyone to connect the name and ID for identity fraud. I’d like to think that no one working for the USPS would commit identity fraud, but it’s a ridiculous requirement. The forms were deliberately confusing so as to allow large rejections when people failed to include all the new information.

I think fewer people were also not able to vote at all, especially those voting by mail, because their applications just to receive a mail ballot were rejected. The local news has reported that voter participation in this primary is the lowest in many years when compared with other midterm years.

North Carolina GQP has just filed to the Supreme Court to accept their version of district maps, states rights. Could set Precedent Nation Wide. The same GQP cheering on Putin as trump praises his genius. We need to honor Ukraine courage by our on outrage. You are right, Biden needs to shout this democracy destroying GQP tactics in their faces. This is how Putin got 98 percent of votes for permanent power. If we do not stop it, our President forever will be trumps golden statue and the power of Putin behind it. All the trumps are lined up to fill the seat as figure heads while Russian and American oligarchs do the controlling.
