Wait 6 months while puppets are put into place by Moscow, backed by the Russian Army...
And, in one coordinated effort... the Ukrainians kill all of them and capture their weapons.
Maybe it's "French resistance" time for Ukraine, obviously no one is coming to their aid...

(5,445 posts)First, he needs to recreate the Soviet Union by taking back its territories. He has Georgia, Chechnia, Crimea (used to be part of the Ukraine), and now wants the Ukraine. Next on his shopping list would be Moldova (Ukraine's neighbor). He doesn't care about recreating the communist aspects of the SU, just the territorial integrity under his authoritarian control.
How will he try to get the rest? Probably by starting with the Baltic states.
Finland is not part of NATO so they would his first target.
Nuclear blackmail would be one guess on how he proceeds. Basically hand it over or WWIII.
He thinks the West is weak and so against war that Putin can bully himself into whatever he wants.

(11,744 posts)Putin has gone after Soviet leaders for ceding any land when the USSR was formed. Putin wants the Russian Empire, whose territory exceeded that of the Soviet Union.
