Also, that never would have happened on my bus. We had a series of tough bus drivers, including the infamous "Sarge", who would have grabbed those kids by the scruff of their necks and thrown them out the door.

But, like everything else, being a bus driver has become a thankless, low-paid part time job, instead of the secure union job it once was. So the bus drivers seem woefully ill-equipped to deal with this.
