Plain speak: The wife of a Supreme Court judge attempted to help overthrow our government.

That shit doesn't even happen in the movies. Anybody who says Clarence didn't know what his wife was up to, is delusional. Nobody would believe be that. Clarence knew what he wife was doing, which means he attempted to overthrow our government.

consequences. Just as with trump, these seditionist criminals keep getting away with it.

trump is not the smartest guy but there's always some weak link in the chain to indict, who for some reason, doesn't follow through on indicting the bastard.

And that includes unfortunately, a couple of Democrats in the Manhattan DA office.

He is guilty and should resign, though he won't. He might not even be in the hospital. Either way, I hope he falls off the bench in disgrace as he deserves. Ginny needs to see life in a prison cell as her future.

The knowing or not by Justice Thomas is irrelevant. What is known is sufficient to prove the coup was not anti-fa.

The fact is that an actual (not-attempted) coup, thankfully failed, against the 200-plus years of USA Constitutional democratic peaceful transfer of power history, went as high as the White House and a Supreme Court Justice's bedroom.

A president (lower case intentional), a chief of staff (lower case intentional), members of congress (lower case intentional) and a supreme court justice (lower case intentional) attempted a coup while the rest of the republicans in leadership/media/state governments continue their feeble efforts to cover it up and/or normalize it.

He he broke tradition of a SCOTUS justice not being involved in politics.

The right wing made a huge stink about it, and he resigned instead of facing an impeachment hearing.

All he did was campaign for people he supported legally, which the right wing said compromised his impartiality.

I doubt that's as bad as having an immediate relative help organize and leave a paper trial for a coup.

Money Putin thought was being spent on the military ended up in the pocket of those in charge. We’ve always been soft on white-collar crime, but the open corruption that Trump ushered into the White House made others like Ginni Thomas more open with their corruption. There is no doubt that the Trump administration was primarily corrupt, documented by people forced out for serious ethics violations, investigations resulting in criminal indictments and convictions, and the grifting from taxpayers that was a hallmark of Trump’s presidency.

And rather than repudiate the corruption, the Republican Party now supports it and is extending it throughout the red states. The corruption of Governor Abbott and his administration in Texas is just breathtaking. While lying about fixing the Texas energy grid, which he did not, he takes millions in donations to do the bidding of Big Oil. There’s no way of knowing how much he rakes in under the table.

Corruption will be the undoing of democracy because it cannot long exist in a country where voters can get rid of the corrupt lawmakers. That’s why Republicans have passed their voter nullification laws to protect their own corruption.

It is unethical, but I do not see what crime Ginni Thomas committed. She was just a chorus member with Mark Meadow's mobile #. She did not falsify election documents, she didn't invade the Capital.

She just spouted conspiratorial bullshit (which is just par for the course in the GQP) with no regard for her husband's position.

Is that what you are saying? A supreme court judge and his wife were part of a conspiracy to over throw our country. Trump was going to the Supreme Court attempting to over throw the country. Clarence and his wife were helping him, trying to protect him. WTF!

Only a few militia leaders have been charged with conspiracy with regards to J6. Most of the convictions and arrests are the pawns who trespassed at the Capitol. No big fish have paid any price whatsoever, and none will, because a conviction for sedition and conspiracy is such a high bar. Not one of Trump's lawyers have been disbarred, no False Electors have been prosecuted.

I didn't say conspiracy to overthrow the Govt isn't a crime. I said I don't see that G. Thomas crossed that legal line. I don't see that Clarence Thomas did anything except be the dickhead he has always been.

WTF yourself.

Yearly review by the American Bar Assn. reporting to Congress might help in getting rid of people who are
not equipped to effectually sit on the SCOTUS. Yes I know our laws currently do not favor such a thing, but with
all the shenanigans and beer drinking going on with members of the SC, it's ripe for change.

I've always said who wants to go into a court room and the first thing the Judge asks you is
"Are you a Democrat or Republican?" and that decides your guilt or innocence. R's are stacking the courts
with far-right Judges for a reason, and that's probably to take all power away from Democrats. Rs have seated
a lot of Judges who the ABA said were not qualified.

Time to "nip it in the bud"
