Waiting on Main street about 10:30 am.Kid's self-voting station.
The early, early, early birds got to sit down.
Waiting (still a long way to go, but didn't realize it at the time).

Panoramic view of rally
James Taylor - amazing of course
I couldn't actually see the president (too short) but my son held my camera up high to take some pics.
I think every TALL man in New Hampshire moved in front of me as soon as the president took to the podium! It was a great experience anyway.

(47,567 posts)He also did a bit about how Romney didn't raise taxes in Massachusetts, just FEES and he listed a few of them. Made a joke about additional fees for birth certificates, how that would have impacted him personally.

(47,567 posts)I would have thought it was intentional! Everyone was so nice and friendly, one couldn't be irritated. When we were in line, an irate republican drove by and screamed "You are all NUTS!!!" Everyone just laughed at him. I really, really think overall Democrats are nicer, friendlier, and more polite than republicans.

(50,444 posts)I loved the kids' self-voting station, great idea!
Slightly OT but I certainly understood your point re "I think every TALL man in New Hampshire moved in front of me as soon as the president took to the podium! The same thing used to happen to me in the old movie theaters, it was almost a guarantee a tall person with 'big' hair would sit in front of me, lol.

(3,657 posts)but James Taylor is no Meatloaf
PatSeg
(47,567 posts)I'm sure the President was so disappointed that he couldn't get Meatloaf!
What amazed me was James Taylor sounded every bit as good as he did forty years ago and unlike Meatloaf, he didn't sing off-key.

(1,011 posts)I know what you mean about the tall men. My camera had a much better view than I did! Good thing I have long arms...

He felt badly that I couldn't actually see Obama and he kept trying to find me a good spot, but I was just happy to be there AND I could see James Taylor most of the time.
