Madonna needs a little love from DU.

She was boo'd for telling everyone to vote for Obama.

Madonna Booed At New Orleans Concert For Telling Audience To “Vote For Obama”

Madonna was booed at her New Orleans concert on Saturday, and not for some of the usual antics on her “MDNA Tour.”

The singer was heckled when she asked, “Who’s registered to vote?” followed by “I don’t care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama.”

That prompted several concertgoers to boo Madonna as well as to walk out of her concert.

She quickly tried to recover by adding, ”Seriously, I don’t care who you vote for… Do not take this privilege for granted. Go vote.”

It's all subjective and her heart is in the right place so...Go, Madonna!

I don't seem to hear the same vitriol for the Rolling Stones.

I confess I didn't care for Madonna years ago when her music was bubble gum stuff, light and airy. I do appreciate her now, not only for her ability but also for her showcasing new talent.

That she is a Democrat is only the cherry on top of the strawberry shortcake.

Note the difference between your cite below, and one from the Rolling Stone that follows. Also note that you will not find on Fox the clarification that Madonna made the next day. You WILL find that clarifying statement in valid sources, like Rolling Stone.

Your Fox article:
Madonna asked everyone in the audience of her Washington, DC performance Monday night to vote for President Obama because he is a "black Muslim."

"Y’all better vote for f**king Obama, OK? For better or for worse, all right?" the shouted from stage while sipping from a bottle of water with a straw. ""We have a black Muslim in the White House! Now that’s some amazing s**t.”

Madonna, 54, also stripped down to her bra to reveal "Obama" stenciled in big letters on her back, before promising (or warning?): “When Obama is in the White House for a second term I'll take it all off.”

President Obama is not a Muslim.

Rolling Stone:
Maybe it was a slip of the tongue or maybe it was misguided sarcasm, but Madonna called President Obama a "black Muslim" last night at a tour stop in Washington D.C. in what otherwise resembled a message of support. After praising Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr., Madonna turned her attention to Obama, saying, "It is so amazing and incredible to think that we have an African-American in the White House!" But the pop star didn't stop there. "So y'all better vote for fucking Obama, OK? For better or for worse, all right, we have a black Muslim in the White House, OK? Now that is some shit. That's some amazing shit," she said. "It means there is hope in this country. And Obama is fighting for gay rights, OK? So support the man, goddammit!"

Here's the clarifying statement the next day in Rolling Stone (but not on Fox):
Madonna was being "ironic" when she referred to President Obama as a "black Muslim" onstage at a concert in Washington D.C. Monday night, the singer said in a statement reported by Reuters. The pop star was urging fans to vote for the president when she said, "For better or for worse, all right, we have a black Muslim in the White House, OK? Now that is some shit."

The singer later clarified her comments through a rep, saying, "I was being ironic on stage. Yes, I know Obama is not a Muslim – though I know that plenty of people in this country think he is. And what if he were?"
