Romney now running Ads about Jeep and China

These Romney campaign gaffes never are. Time after time he says something so patently false that it is described as a gaffe or slip, but is actually Romney a week-long ad push.

When Romney said JEEP was moving American jobs to China it was denounced from every quarter as a willful misreading.

It was a lie.

But having now put the lie out there, the Romney campaign is running ads repeating something that sounds like the lie, but is technically true. (Rather than saying that Jeep is moving American jobs to China, it says that Jeep is expanding into China, which is true.)

The nuanced truth is read as a confirmation of the lie.

An appalling, and possibly effective, way to maximize the effect of lies.

to make them stop running the ad - it's harmful for their reputation and their business. They've already issued a statement explaining that this is false. I hope they get their lawyers on this.

Half the electorate already know damn well he's a liar... and why would he give Obama an opening like this to just come out and say "Mitt Romney says American jobs are being moved to China... and they are, but not by Jeep--by Sensata"?

I didn't think I could loathe anybody as much as I loathed Dick Cheney and Sarah Palin and George Bush. I used to think that, except for Jon Huntsman, Romney would be the least of all the Republican evils. Boy was I wrong. He is a sociopath who will do and say ANYTHING without the slightest twinge of guilt if it gets him what he wants. He is one sick puppy.

They are remarkedly alike when it comes to character and temperment. Romney even resembles Nixon in some of his photographs. It all adds up to him being a clone of Nixon.
