So, for the first time in history, it's going to start raining men...

Christian preacher blames gays for Hurricane Sandy

Chaplain John McTernan has said God's judgment of gays caused the hurricane nearing the east coast of the United States

"As the east coast of the United States prepares for the storm, which has already killed 60 people in the Caribbean, author and chaplain John McTernan has decided who is at fault.

On his website Defend Proclaim The Faith, the preacher says the gathering storm must be God’s judgment on gays, and punishing the president Barack Obama for coming out in support of marriage equality."

In all seriousness (and fabulousness), if we were so damn powerful, the world would not be in the mess it's in, that's for sure.

We know there will be gay first responders rescuing people. There will be gay people donating time, money, helping to rebuild and providing comfort.

It is an old tired attack, and just like always, the 'faith community' at large will not speak out against this nut, they will fall silent. Then they will demand that others understand that they are 'not like the haters'. I am used to the nuts saying nutty shit, I will never get used to the 'mainstream religious' who say and do nothing to oppose the nuts among them, the nuts who exploit their faith for profit and division.

Before, the same cast of characters would say, "This happened because..." Now, they're getting into "This will happen because..."

Do these guys get prizes for being the first to blame teh gay for everything bad that has ever happened (or, in this case, for everything bad that will happen)?
