We have begun to loose trees here in Brooklyn.

When I went out I saw about a dozen trees down here in Bay Ridge. One went into a house, but there was no damage to the house. There is not much rain here, but the wind gusts are kicking pretty good now. Major flooding being reported in Zone A all over the city. Fire Island, Atlantic City, and Long Beach are some of the places that are suffering the worst flooding. We have been told by local media to expect 100 MPH gusts to hit the city. High tide in lower Manhattan is at 8:53 PM. God help us all.

it's critically important to ensure that our grammar and spelling skills are not lost as well

the long awaited sequel

All kidding aside, stay inside. I assume you are up in an apartment building somewhere (I have only been to Brooklyn twice and that is my impression of the city).

Maybe put something up against the windows if you can. A table on it's edge is all I can think of off hand but flying glass can be deadly.

Good luck to you.

When trees start falling, it's time to stay in. Praying for you folks up north.

Harrisburg, PA area for the record. It's already nasty and going to get worse.
