Minority turnout was very high and during the 15 minutes I was in the booth there were two first time voters saluted by the voting staff. I'm not seein' any lack of enthusiasm among the Dems here even if the presidential race is a lost cause in this (temporarily) red state.
Had to park in the remote parking 'cause my truck's tailgate constitutes electioneering

Usually I get the finger when driving around with my stickers. This morning on the way to work had a truck
trying to get my attention. Speeding up and slowing down next to me, finally had the nerve to look over at
him. And he was giving me a thumb-up. Made my day!

(47,675 posts)No offense, but the "GM is Alive" part and "Nissan" just don't belong on the same tailgate.

(14,559 posts)as did Ford, Volkswagen and other "foreign" car makers because they all depend on the same supply chain for parts. GM's driveline in made in Canada, electronics in Mexico. Assembly is in the US.
My Nissan is just as 'American' as Ford or GM.
We're all Global now.

(47,675 posts)Honda's the worst offender. They ship in completely assembled engines and transmissions and most of the other parts. It's a Lego building set in the factory. At least the parts used for assembly in Canada are manufactured in the US. Canada doesn't have the infrastructure for that anyway. The ford Focus is made in Mexico, but again, with US-made parts. I think ANYTHING that's manufactured should list percentage of domestic parts on it (for every kind of product).
All I'm saying is that the picture would have a SHITLOAD more impact if it was on the tailgate of a Chevy.
