(165 posts)Unfortunately they know that their base is so poorly informed that the blame falls elsewhere. With rampant corporate greed and Republican intentional sabotage inflation will be difficult to overcome, and will affect the midterms negatively.

(26,400 posts)Why isn't this the top of the hour story on CNN and MSNBC? Why haven't I seen this picture on their news shows?

(19,949 posts)but only once, and the other networks seem to be silent.
It doesn't fit in with their, "it's all Joe Biden's fault" story line.

(34,664 posts)It was later in the headline news, but they did make it known. I think it was mentioned in their headline crawler, as well. I wasn't listening closely, so I don't know if they pointed out Abbott/s motives. Not that his motives aren't obvious...

(99,996 posts)And that means that Abbott is engaging in using food as a weapon.
Sound familiar? He has put himself in direct competition in the race to the bottom with the likes of DeSatin,-45 and poo tin.
It should be seen as a crime against humanity, using food as a weapon.
GoCubsGo
(34,664 posts)So, he's also using transportation as a weapon.

(7,753 posts)...... 4 loads per day. Pick up a load, drive it to the border drop the load (trailer). Return for another load (trailer). Repeat multiple times per day.
The dropped trailers are then picked up by the U.S. truckers for the final delivery.

(54,026 posts)DOJ, ICC should be all over this, and Democrats need to MAKE A LOT OF NOISE for once.
This should be illegal by any definition of unrestricted free trade within the 50 states.
In my view.

(6,352 posts)I don't understand what possible Constitutional authority a governor of one state has to in effect set policies for crossing an international border, particularly ones that have such an outsize impact on interstate commerce. Just because one state has part of an international border doesn't give it any authority to create its own trade and immigration policies at odds with those of the nation.

(40,598 posts)the fault for inflation is being caused by Republican leaders!

(1,404 posts)who are trying to sell their perishable produce would have something to say about the governor deliberately spoiling their products.
You'd think.

(10,423 posts)even the Texas Ag Commissioner Sid Miller, a Republican, said "You don't stop a crisis by implementing another crisis."

abbott is a f*n traitor and should not be in charge of licking envelopes, let alone a state.

(13,199 posts)Maybe it is time to ignore Texas altogether. I realize it may take more time and money but at this point how much are they losing going to the Texas crossings.

(18,881 posts)Everything is delayed because of this POS. The Republican party hurts average Americans. They are destroying this country, it's healthcare system, supply chain, infrastructure and environment. They are like a swarm, devouring and killing everything in their path. When will Americans wake up and stop voting against their families and their own best interests? How do you stop brainwashed, enraged and willfully ignorant people from sabotaging everything good about this country?

Not much coverage on this from the "liberal" media or RW media. Just nonstop coverage of empty shelves and high prices.

I suppose the agencies are all tossing this around like a hot potato, hoping the courts will step in again.

(84 posts)The companies should deliver the rotten ruined produce to the governors mansion and deposit in front of it. The governor isnt the only one who can put on a show!!
Sucha NastyWoman
(3,018 posts)Since the supply chain problems started I have noticed that produce doesnt keep as long as it used to, probably because it spends more time in transit.
This will make it worse.
