The President basically said that state and local governments, along with the federal government have been preparing for this storm, and have resources already positioned to handle the aftermath.

When asked how it would affect the election, President Obama said, and I paraphrase, "The election will take care of itself next week. Right now I'm not concerned about that, but about the safety of the people and first responders in the path of this storm."

Brief, but an excellent set of remarks.
