How Many Have Had Your Obama Signs Damaged/Stolen?

First time, our highway frontage got trashed (with trash). Second time, someone stole a public sign my ex had put up. Third time, someone trespassed on property and ripped-up a sign where my ex and daughters live.

The last one has really, really pissed me off.

Putting up my back up sign so the dogs can protect it on the inside of the fence?

Anyone else had troubles this year with their signs?

1. Last election I posted dozens of signs

and MOST were ripped or kicked down - snapping the sticks, or 2x2 posts of the bigger ones.

Nasty buggers.

2. In 2008, my sign wasn't vandalized until I added 'Mission Accomplished', the day after the election

Guess I hit a nerve with a passer-by. Fortunately they didn't destroy the sign because I'm using it again, this year. So far, no problems.

3. I live in a condo and placed an Obama door hanger on my own door last night

(leftover from canvassing). It was gone this morning- was shocked (and disappointed frankly). Everywhere here in Miami-Dade County people are reporting having Obama signs stolen.

4. Our yard sign was stolen. It was 15' up from the road on an embankment.

However, we have 1500' of frontage and ended up taking a ladder, staple gun and old signs that I saved from 2008 and went down and tacked them to the trees lining the road . So far, so good. They have been there for over 2 weeks with no damage.

Some people I see putting them in weird places, but they stay there.

5. Surprisingly, mine haven't been touched this year (so far).

Unlike the last 2 Pres. elections.

I was even thinking about rigging an IR trail camera to nail the bastards this year.

6. Post a sign right under the sign that says

SMILE!!! You're on CANDID CAMERA!!!

It might deter some folks if they believe their actions are recorded.

If you have an old video camera/vcr and some old tapes, set up a system with that (tapes on slow speed) and train it on your sign. Light the sign up at night, too...!

13. We will see... was able to get the same sign repaired and back up... will apply some vaseline

7. Not as bad as in 2008

We had more than one sign, just in case, and our sign did get stolen. However...I think it was stolen by a neighbor who put it in their own yard! The frame of our sign was kind of twisted from a windstorm, and ths new sign was twisted the same way. So...I put a new sign up, closer to the house, and it hasnt been tampered with. Two streets over...a lot of vandalized signs.

12. Yes, my yard sign was stolen. I've lived at this same address for

over 25 years. Never had a thing stolen from our yard. The day after robme was in town, our yard sign was stolen.

15. One stolen, had a backup

I could not keep, Gore, Kerry, Obama signs in my yard, so now I always have one in reserve. In 2016 I am going with motion sensitive recording devices so I can turn the vandals in to the police.

17. I have to say... I live in Romney/Ryan Mecca

the streets are lined with RR signs.... and one townhouse has an "Obama 2012" sign...me.
a couple of Democrats do in the more affluent part of town...so far,all has been on the up and up.
