What the heck is going on in Galveston County Texas?

I realize that Galveston County is kind of a hub for Democrats, but my brother, out in Santa Fe, TX says he passes the polling place every day and has never seen it so packed. And the ELDERLY are going crazy there. He sat in his truck watching for about a half hour after he voted, and said he'd never seen so many wheelchairs and walkers. He's lived there for about thirty years and says he's never seen the elderly turn out like that. Wonder if they got the message that Romney/Ryan wants to take away their Medicare and Social Security?

is notoriously right-wing. First, it was the KKK recruiting members there and then it was the place where they decided it was ok to have prayer in public schools, as long as it was 'student-led'. Don't read too much into this. The teabaggery is strong in Santa Fe. (I'm from Galveston County.)

I know Santa Fe has had it's problems in the past, but that was about a decade, or maybe two decades ago, wasn't it? I know that it's current makeup is about 59% Republican, 39% Democratic, and 1% Independents.

New people moving in, but the same old people are still there. Who knows? Maybe Nick Lampson will win. Damn, I sure hope he does. (This is Ron Paul's district.)

we have had a major GOTV.... with no Barton ads.He seems to think he has the vote sewed up...and with gerrymandering,he might. But it won't be because of lack of trying...we have activated the African-American,Latino,Young and LGBT vote here.

my man ! I can't vote for him ( I am in HD 12 ) but I have been so impressed by Kenneth Sanders. If he takes out Barton, he and Marc Veasey will be so great for us in DC

the black guy or for Medicare. The AARP is amazingly active on the Medicare issue...usually neutral or RW, definitely Leans Dem on this one. Email, mailings, etc. It has spelled it out clearly. It's probably increased their membership and imagine they stand to gain from Obamacare.
