Only 6% of Dem early voters have voted for Romney. No indication of whether this will continue to be the case, but it's interesting!

(31,849 posts)I suspect ... if there were a "secret" poll here at DU, President Obama would not get about 6% of the DU vote.

(10,942 posts)Religion is important to them above all else. They don't like a diverse society, they in fact fear that society. They are democrats because of deep family roots that cause them to be democrats. A similar dynamic is likely playing with the 16% of republicans going with Obama, with the exception that they embrace diversity and the forward looking vision that President Obama has implemented and will perfect with four more years. Those republicans, like the democrats have deep roots as republicans, roots that they would like to shed but can't because of their personal histories.

(31,849 posts)that Democratic campaign ad in which the voice over says something to the effect of, "You have choice to make ... It's just you in the voting booth ... there's no one looking ... no one to debate with, no one to convince or trying to convince you ..."
I think it's brilliant in that it touches all those that know a romney presidency would be disasterous, but have to maintain a public face. It reminds them that after they vote, they can SAY they voted however they wish, while having done what they know is the right thing.

(10,942 posts)She isn't a good republican because she supports a lot of the issues that I do. The difference is that she is stuck with deep republican roots that she can't shake. I don't know her outside of politics, but I feel sorry for her.

(11,650 posts)Are the 6% Dems voting for Rmoney or for the Green candidate? Are the 16% Reps voting for Obama or for the libertarian?

(308 posts)this is proof, their is a 10 point different in the number of repug voters who not voting for mitt and dems who voting for mitt ,and if 40 percent of the country early vote. we should go into nov 6 with a 4 percent bonus .if this continues til sunday. these are votes they depend on in close races.
