Can you believe the election is just a week away?

Time: 2006-2008
Scene: Everywhere, at nearly all times

Obama and Hilary argue over who will answer that 1am phone call, primaries drag on for... years? Obama gets re-elected handily defeating John McGrumpyPants

Time: 2010-2012
Scene: Everywhere, at nearly all times

Santorum is the next Republican candidate; no cain, no Palin, no Bachman, actually its Gingrich, but what about the governor of Texas Perry? Ah @#$@# it, we'll go Romney.

Obama is leading in a landslide, Obama sleeps at first debate, Romney takes commanding lead according to some polls, other polls dictate that polls are worthless.

Seriously, is it just me or has pretty much all media just become nothing but a constant onslaught of campaigning? I mean, between 2008 and 2010 there was a lot accomplished by the federal government (of which some was good) but since it has been the Republicans trying to sabotage our country and TV/Radio/sides of roads have been covered with endless attack ads. This next week will be all kinds of stressful, but I praise the sweet baby Jesus that this is finally ending.

I was ready for it to be over months ago.

The sad thing is we only get a six to eight month reprieve before the exploratory committees get formed and this shit starts all over again.

......or if "Sandy" will hand the electoral college to mittzy because it won't be possible to vote or count votes in NY and surrounding areas.

From what I gather, for a disaster like this, with mitt, there would be no federal disaster funding and NY State would be expected to put out the multi-hundreds of billions for recovery. Even if mitt can't change things that fast, he could slow up and low-ball recovery funds because NY is a big blue state.
