(Somerville is the town just north of Cambridge)
We have 60 mph winds, supposed to be up to 80 or 100 later today. I heard City Hall lost part of its roof; it's on top of a hill. I could walk a couple of houses down the street and look at City Hall, but I'm not going out to do that.

(33,688 posts)in 1985. The university was closed and everyone was battened down, then she blew herself out over Long Island. So the resident adviser in the dorm headed for the liquor and grocery stores and we had a party all Friday afternoon long.
Sandy is obviously a horse of another, and very dangerous, color. Stay safe!
