California woman dropped phone into forest toilet. uses dog leash to lower herself into toilet

As reported by KCPQ in Seattle, the unidentified woman dropped her cellphone while using it on the toilet at the mountaintop, which is a part of Olympic National Forest, Tuesday afternoon.

The woman took desperate measures to rescue her phone, according to a Facebook post shared Tuesday by the Brinnon Fire Department, first dissembling the toilet seat and using her dog’s leash to latch onto the phone. When that was unsuccessful, she ended up using the dog’s leash as a harness to lower herself into the toilet.

“They didn’t work very well and in she went,” Brinnon Fire Department Chief Tim Manly told the Kitsap Sun. The Brinnon Fire Department said in the post that she fell in the toilet headfirst.

The woman reportedly struggled for 15 minutes, Manly added, before she was able to retrieve her phone. Fortunately, she was able to get cell service and called 911 to the scene.

first to use that particular unit. I fished it out, used hand sanitizer, and it was ok. It wasn't down there more than 20 seconds.

Sticks his head out and says I dropped my compass in.
We shrug.

to a festival where there was a row of portapotties for the public. After a lady came out of one, I took him into it to use it (he was only three or four and needed assistance.) He looked down into the hole where, well, you know...he said, "Boy, she sure had to go a lot."

Yes, honey, she sure did. What else could I say?

I mean nearly to the seat full.

I decided I did not have to "go" that bad after all.
