A pointer for my friends in the Northeast.

A pointer for my friends in the Northeast from hurricane alley here in North Carolina. Before you lose power, brew coffee and put it into thermos containers. In the morning, everyone on your street will be your friend. Good luck and my prayers are with you.

but I put mine in the fridge because I don't have enough thermos space to keep me going for more than a few hours.

Good advice for anyone that needs their caffeine.

You don't need any fancy equipment, either, your ordinary electric coffee maker will do. Put your filter and ground coffee in the cup as usual, but don't close the lid. Then, instead of having the coffee maker heating the water and dribbling it through the coffee, you gradually pour the hot water yourself. It's tedious to do, but it's so worth it.
