Trump says he feared being pelted with 'very dangerous' fruit at rallies
Former president Donald Trump said he feared protesters would hit him with tomatoes, pineapples and other “very dangerous” fruit at his campaign rallies, declaring in a sworn deposition that “you can be killed if that happens.”
Trump’s comments about the potentially lethal effects of projectile produce were made public Tuesday with the release of excerpts of 4½ hours of videotaped testimony in a lawsuit filed by a group of protesters who allege that Trump’s security guards assaulted them in 2015. “I wanted to have people be ready because we were put on alert that they were going to do fruit,” Trump said in the October 2021 deposition, according to a transcript of the proceedings. He added that “tomatoes are bad” and that “some fruit is a lot worse.” “But it’s very dangerous. … I remember that specific event, because everybody was on alert. They were going to hit — they were going to hit hard,” he said. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/04/27/trump-says-he-feared-being-pelted-with-very-dangerous-fruit-rallies/

4. One of the few positive things that I will say about former president George W. Bush
is that he had good reaction time avoiding the shoe that was thrown at him during a press conference. It appears that Trump can't even measure up to that standard which makes him a LOSER.

But I would think fruit-pelters like to go soft, squishy and overripe.

36. Isn't that why they need weapons in Walmart?
They have to get past fresh produce to get to the Little Debbie and Frosted Flakes. One just never knows when fruits and veggies might attack. Plus those liberal types hang out in produce. You know, the kind who read history books. EEEEK.

30. As a kid on the farm.
Our chickens had pretty much free run of the place. We would always find an abandoned nest that had a dozen or so eggs in it and had been roasting in the summer sun for a week. Those were great for lobbing at someone cause you didn’t have to hit them to be effective. Just get it close enough to splash them and the smell was something else.

33. He deserves a Durian fruit
![]() Smithsonian Magazine: If you’ve smelled a durian even once, you probably remember it. Even with the husk intact, the notorious Asian fruit has such a potent stench that it’s banned on the Singapore Rapid Mass Transit. Food writer Richard Sterling has written “its odor is best described as…turpentine and onions, garnished with a gym sock. It can be smelled from yards away.” https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/why-does-the-durian-fruit-smell-so-terrible-149205532/ |
