In the thick of Sandy right now, and I must give a sentimental shout-out...

...to the lovely Democratic Mayor and City Council of White Plains, New York. Organized and on-the-job with periodic phone updates to the entire community.

I wish all DUers could live in such a great little city.

(But dang, that's some scary wind out there. Stay safe, everyone.)

Wind and rain seems to have let up, for now, anyway. Am surprised we still have power, lost it during Irene. Hope you're safe, southern neighbor...
