NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) Reporting from Lower Manhattan, CBS 2′s Elise Finch reported that water from West Street was cascading like a waterfall into the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel.
Finch reported that people had gathered in the area near Greenwich and Morris streets, reporting that some police officers even remarked they had never seen anything like this before.
Meanwhile, the first confirmed fatality from Sandy has been reported in the Tri-State Area.
Police told WCBS 880 that a 30-year-old man was killed in Queens when a tree branch fell on his home....more

Any discussion of climate change was conspicously absent from the debates. This Superstorm is impacting half the country! I'm in NE NY and we have rain and high winds, but we still have power... *knock on wood*
