Evacuations underway all over the city of NY and surrounding areas.

Local news reports are horrifying now. NYU hospital is being abandon because the their generator is down. Bellevue hospital has only 2 hours of power left on their generators. Coney Island Hospital has a fire that firefighters are trying to get to. Long Beach LI has massive damage, and evacuations are underway. There are too many reports.

Ike and his wrath on Bolivar Peninsula, hoping this wasn't a rerun. I live in Texas and those "before and after images" of Bolivar and High Island, are enough to haunt me for the rest of my life. A storm surge will rip you apart and it's nothing to fool around with.

They're going to try hauling fuel up in 5 gal buckets to the 13th floor, where the generator is, to keep it running.

Holy shit.
