It's been howling all night, and the others are asleep, and I feel I can't go to sleep because I want to keep an eye on things in case something should happen...
If it's this scary in MI, it must be horrific for you folks in the 9 states directly affected. So far, just flickering power, hope it stays that way..
My heart goes out to you that have lost lives, property, suffered injuries, etc., and hope the gov can help you get over all this.
I can't help thinking about that 12/21/12 Mayan prophecy. It seems that there are too many coincidences to be a coincidence...

(6,476 posts)that 'prophecy' has been shown to be bogus and you still have power :0) I won't know what happened here until daylight...I've heard some odd sounds, things hitting the building and what sounded a lot like a piece of metal loose on the roof. (We have metal roofs) so far we aren't flooded, our measures to redirect water seem to have worked in that regard but until daylight I don't know what condition our condition is.
There was water standing in the horse pasture this afternoon so I don't know what to expect in the am...but we have more wind and rain coming.
Try to relax and snuggle down with a nice cup of tea and an oil lamp. Stay safe!
