13. FDR was considering expanding the Court to 15 Justices, but then came up with this plan:

President Roosevelt issued a proposal in February 1937 to provide retirement at full pay for all members of the court over 70. If a justice refused to retire, an “assistant” with full voting rights was to be appointed, thus ensuring Roosevelt a liberal majority.

In the end, he won over a couple of Justices so that his New Deal could go into effect. Plus he served for 12 YEARS, and by then the Court was practically ALL liberal Justices appointed by him.

But we can't afford to wait for Clarence to have a heart attack or Brat to drink himself to death. (Especially Brat; he's only 57 to Thomas' 73. And the Handmaid, gods help us, is just 50!)

While we're waiting for some of those fools to pop off, I think we should go ahead and work on expanding the court while we have a Democrat in the White House!
