Methinks we won't be hearing much of the "small government is best" meme for a bit...

from repukes...now, that's a silver lining with this catastrophe...

The press is hammering Mitt on his FEMA remarks from earlier in the primaries. Mitt can't very well come out with a statement denying he said it. He can't say he still believes it. And he'll look really bad if he says he "thinks differently" now!

About the best the repukes could muster was what Joe Scar said today: this is what happens when you're afraid to take on the BIG entitlements and forced to work at the edges of a small part of the federal budget (which is what FEMA is compared to Medicare and SS).

That's weak tea at the very least, but the best they could come up with. There is some Republican desperation right about now. This storm did them NO favors!
