Is there anything the Obama campaign should be doing that they are not presently doing??

In your opinion?

All along the watchtower, the time is drawing near. We are a week away from an historic election. This country simply cannot afford to go back to the policies of the past. It would be a tragic mistake by the American people to put Mitt Romney in the White House.

I do not know if the polls are accurate or not. And neither does anyone else.

In my opinion, the American voter is not stupid. But many of them are ignorant. There is a difference. Stupid cannot be fixed but ignorance can be educated.

This is just my opinion but I believe a lot of voters do not remember or recall the terrible ordeal we were experiencing 4 years ago. We are only slightly beginning to recover right now. Perhaps they think 4 years is long enough to fix any problem, no matter the severity?

If there was one thing that I thought the Obama campaign could do in the last week, it would be in educating voters that might have forgotten from where we have come? I would run an ad showing the banks going under, stock market losing 100's of points every day, people losing their homes, the fear of a worldwide depression, Bush and Paulsen begging for money to save the financial system. Let's not throw away the progress we have made. Think before you vote. That would be my message to the campaign. Otherwise, we may pay a big price for simple ignorance.

What with all the focus on the swing states, I think they need to fire up the base one last time. Besides, I don't want to see Obama just getting 50.1% of the popular vote.

to know exactly what a campaign should be doing at a time like this, but I'll say that all of us should have Obama's back and knock on more doors, make more calls, and contribute to his re-election any way we can.

You must be pretty knowledgeable to be willing to knock on doors, make more calls, and contribute financially? Surely you would not do all that out of blind faith?

that we're in uncharted waters (no pun intended) at this point, and the campaign has to be careful to play this just right. What those of us not making decisions for the campaign is work a little bit harder to make up for any slack that may be caused by Obama not on the campaign trail.

Sandy has given a new meaning to the idea of disaster...Or at least reminded people of what disaster means.

Obama has to walk a fine line as a result. The bnest he can do, IMO, is to be presidential during this crises, and hope people appreciate his steady leadership -- which hopefully will remind them of the mess he inherited too.

That he must show presidential leadership at this time.

However, he can still do that and the Party or Pacs can still run political ads, which they will do anyway.

Seriously, I wouldn't presume to tell the most brilliant campaigner I've seen in my adult lifetime how to conduct his campaign.

I made a comment defending Christie this morning on how Christie made media apperances this morning while a levee had broken.

So until the President is personally rescuing individuals, the attacks on Christie are pure partisan bullshit.

If Adelson and others can blow millions on Romney's campaign the Obama campaign should implore its donors to help with relief efforts for the north east coast. The north east coast rarely needs help from the rest of the country and is generally very generous in supporting the rest of the country when disasters hit in other parts of the country (usually the red states get the most help.
