The TP for my Bung Hole just shrunk.

For those of you who liked Beavis and Butthead, you'll know what I'm talking about. The rest of you....well...you'll probably just think I am gross.

But, the point I'm making is: We buy Northern Quilted toilet paper. I know it is a KOCH Roach product but my local store only carries a couple of brands so we are kind of stuck with it.

I've been saving toilet rolls for a school art project so today I took out the last roll of the package and put it on the counter next to the empty roll from the last package. 1/4" less wide. Yes, the Koch brothers have managed to worm their way into my toilet to make just a little bitty bit more profit.

So, I am making a new pledge to avoid Georgia Pacific Products and will no longer get Northern Quilted. It means a scritchier paper but this example of fleecing the American public is ridiculous and my bunghole will have to buck up and carry the price of correct politics.

I can't believe some of the prices I see at the store! What do they expect people to do???? Spend $20 per package? that adds up!

their TP is excellent - the six-roll packs last a long time and it's high quality.

including the generic and store brands. Noticed that the rolls weren't lasting nearly as long.

I have noticed this for a while now. The amazing shrinking TP roll. I used to take a minute or two to pick out a supply of TP for the home. Now, it seems to take forever; some rolls are shorter than others, some are wider than others, some are square, some are not quite square, 1-ply, 2-ply, now 3-ply. What's a person to do? I have also noticed they seem to hit you with the ole Romney double down, smaller sizes, less square footage, and at a higher cost. Ahh the days when I used to only think about how well I could throw the stuff and if I could make it over that big tree in my friends front yard.

the same company will use sq. foot, sheet, roll for their different sizes. So you can't compare the price of the three products unless you are ready to figure out how many sq. feet = the roll or the yard or the meter, etc.

Sometimes the oz. will be vs. liters vs. gallon. very crazy.

I just came out of a GP mill as a contractor about a week ago and thought about making an OP about what a complete and utter shithole it was, and how that's the future of workers under people like the Kochs. The stuff in there is just so utterly fucking unbelievable to someone that hasn't been in one.

A pound of coffee is no longer a pound, a two litre bottle of coke is turning into a 1.5 litre bottle in many markets, the prices stay the same, the contents get smaller.

toilet paper being used in public places like restaurants and stores? If it were 1/4" smaller it would be dental floss.
