Alito's is initiating a coup of the Court...taking lessons from his fascist brother-in-arms, the Pig.
Roberts has no control of the Court anymore.
The christfascists are just doing whatever suits their partisan christofascist agenda. Has nothing to do with the Constitution just about religion.
Alito is in the process of defacto deposing Roberts as Chief Justice.
Once done, there is no reason to hear and decide cases brought before the Court in other manner than blatant political and religious agenda.

(22,121 posts)points in favorability. How does anybody lose 40 points in ratings in one fell swoop? Well, we have the answer right in front of us, when at least 3 of the Supreme Court justices lied in their hearings to Congress about their anticipated voting on issues bought before them by the Courts for rulings. Roe was one of them.

(955 posts)to think of the current Supreme Court as a council of fanatic clerics trying to impose their perverse minority ideology on the country's majority, and should be resisted just as if the Taliban or ISIS were invading and attempting to do the same.

(11,098 posts)Roman Catholics make up roughly 20% of the population and yet, five of nine on the Court are Roman Catholic. If you don't count Justice Sotomayor, that makes the Court 50% conservative Roman Catholic. Justice Gorsuch was raised Roman Catholic but is now an Anglo-Catholic Episcopalian (i.e. Roman Catholic Church Junior Varsity). Catholic conservatives hold a majority on the Court.
It would be more simple if we turned decisions over to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith f/k/a the Inquisition.
